Donor Recognition Levels

Our donors' commitment and generosity is greatly appreciated, and most importantly, positively impacts many lives in our community. Every dollar donated to our organization assures our patients have access to the right technologies, people and resources they need to stay well or to heal. We thank our donors for all they have done, and will continue to do, to support GBMC HealthCare's mission.

Cumulative Giving

The Joseph S. Keelty Society   ($250,000+)

The GBMC Foundation has created a giving society to recognize those whose philanthropy to GBMC HealthCare and Gilchrist Hospice Care places them at the vanguard of supporters. At an inaugural dinner in June 2001, twenty-five individuals, corporations and foundations were inducted into the Joseph S. Keelty Society for supporting GBMC with cumulative gifts of $250,000 or more. Chief among those honored that evening was the Society's namesake, a distinguished Baltimore businessman and philanthropist, who has provided outstanding leadership and exceptionally generous support to GBMC. In 2004, 13 more individuals, corporations and foundations were inducted into the society.

Donors at this level of giving receive a prominent listing in GBMC Foundation's Annual Report and Annual Giving Plaque, early access to New Sale, inviation to the Virginia Sherwood Dinner, complimentary parking when visiting GBMC, invitation to President's Club Dinner and Annual Luncheon for CEO briefing, complimentary admittance to all PIM dinners, two event tickets to Legacy Chase and ten percent off at the GBMC gift shop and cafeteria.

Planned Giving

The Elizabeth Duncan Yaggy Society

Mrs. Yaggy made the first gift to start a capital fund to purchase land and create a new suburban hospital. Her efforts, and the efforts of those who followed her, created the hospital we now know as Greater Baltimore Medical Center. The Elizabeth Duncan Yaggy Society recognizes individuals who provide for the GBMC Foundation in their wills, through insurance, through testamentary trusts, or through other gift planning arrangements. Members of the Yaggy Society receive special mailings and invitations to events at GBMC.
